Drake's Scarves at Barneys Warehouse - Starting <$90

"There are dinner jackets and dinner jackets - this is the latter," coos Vesper Lynd to James Bond in Casino Royale. Well, there are scarves and then there are scarves, and Drake's is the latter. As much an institution in classic menswear accessories and clothing as we have these days, Drake's is universally praised for its tasteful design and superior make. I could just as easily say there is cashmere and cashmere as well, and you know where to find Drake's in that statement.

But just because it sits in the classic menswear camp doesn't mean it has to be staid. Though you'll find some classic plain scarves in the collection that you might argue could be worked into any genre of attire, there's no shortage of imagination and playfulness in Drake's designs as well. I have to admit I don't lean as much toward tailored and classic menswear these days for myself, and yet there's something about Drake's that pulls me in.

Barneys Warehouse just dropped a bunch of Drake's scarves on the site at a discount + an extra 40% off, which brings prices down to <$90 at the low end and $162 for the cashmere. I'm also particularly fond of the Garden of Eden and Hunting prints, though, which ring in at $107 shipped. I have a feeling these will be gone as soon as word gets out, so wait at your own risk.

Maybe I'm just over-excited that I don't have to take bottle of water with me to cool me off on my way to work lately or brave the smells on public transportation in the dead of summer, but there may be no better way to celebrate the beginning of the fall than a badass scarf.

PS - If these don't rustle your jimmies, Quoddy is having a tent sale at $129 for all shoes and $149 all boots. I don't know what's going on today, but there's a lot of good stuff going on.
